Land & Building Surveys

Consultancy

Carey Geo-Design is able to provide advice at any or all stages of a construction project regarding the measured survey point of view. From initial planning stages through the topographic survey to the setting out requirements and ‘As built’ surveys. We can also provide CAD services in order to help clients should this be required.

3D Topographical Survey / Land Survey

Our surveys are truly 3D and are an accurate representation of the topography in digital form. They can be viewed as such on a computer if required and can be accurately contoured and sectioned.

Some clients are not aware of the benefits/uses of 3D surveys. If you are commissioning a survey to be used for any type of construction project whether architectural or civil engineering, above or below ground, you are advised to have 3D survey of the site carried out. Please talk to us for advice if you are unsure.

Autodesk Civil 3D

Autodesk Civil 3D is becoming a standard within the Civil Engineering community. Carey Geo-Design has made the investment in software and training and can provide surveys in Civil 3D format. This enables the client to get on with the design process immediately without the expense of converting the survey data to Civil 3D data. We can provide the data using our own line and point styles or we can use a clients own styles. We want to make the process as seamless as possible for the client.

Please see our CAD section to see our Civil 3D services.

Volumetric Survey

Commonly used in quarrying, landfill or earth moving exercises Carey Geo-Design carries out 3D Land Surveys for the production of volumes extracted, volumes filled or for cut and fill volumes.

2D Topographical Survey / Land Survey

For some applications such as for the Land Registry (LR) the client will specify a 2D survey in which case we will provide a 2D survey.
